Low birth weight is an important risk factor associated with delayed psychomotor development in early childhood. This study aims to determine the relationship between these two variables in infants under 2 years of age at the Hospital of Tocache. Objective To determine the association between low birth weight and psychomotor development in infants under 2 years of age at the Hospital of Tocache, 2026. Materials and Methods This study will have a quantitative, non-experimental, descriptive-correlational design, using a hypothetical-deductive method. The population will consist of 200 infants with low birth weight, registered in the Live Birth Certificate of the Hospital of Tocache. The sample will be obtained through probabilistic simple random sampling, with a total of 132 infants. The Psychomotor Development Evaluation Scale (EEDP) to measure motor, coordination, social, and language dimensions. The Live Birth Certificate (CNV) to obtain birth weight data. Data analysis will be conducted using Excel and SPSS v.26, applying descriptive and correlation tests (Pearson or Spearman). It is expected that the results will demonstrate the relationship between low birth weight and psychomotor development, in order to provide timely intervention for this population.application/pdfspahttp://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_abf2https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0/Rehabilitación NeurológicaNeurological RehabilitationDesempeño PsicomotorPsychomotor PerformanceRecién Nacido de muy Bajo PesoInfant, Very Low Birth WeightRecien Nacido PrematuroInfant, PrematureDesarrollo psicomotor y bajo peso al nacer en infantes menores de 2 años del Hospital de Tocache, 2026Psychomotor Development and Low Birth Weight in Infants Under 2 Years at the Hospital de Tocache, 2026http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_7a1fhttps://purl.org/pe-repo/ocde/ford#3.02.10https://purl.org/pe-repo/ocde/ford#3.01.04ODS 3: Salud y bienestar.
