Objective: To determine how the quality of nursing care and the satisfaction of the elderly are related in a hospitalization service of a national hospital. Materials and methods: Quantitative, applied study, non-experimental or observational, correlational and cross-sectional design, where a population of 100 patients will be considered. Two valid and reliable instruments will be applied. In relation to the questionnaire that will evaluate the quality of nursing care, it will have 35 items and establishes 3 dimensions: human, technical and environment; while the questionnaire that will assess satisfaction with nursing care will have 46 items and includes 6 dimensions: accessibility, explains and facilitates, anticipates, comforts, monitors and follows up, and maintains a trust relationship. In relation to the data analysis, the descriptive data will be organized by means of tables that contain the percentages and amounts of both variables and dimensions, while the inference analysis will use Spearman's Rho coefficient to determine the relationship of variables.Objetivo: Determinar de qué manera se relaciona la calidad del cuidado de enfermería y la satisfacción del adulto mayor en un servicio de hospitalización de un hospital nacional. Materiales y métodos: Estudio cuantitativo, aplicada, diseño no experimental u observacional, correlacional y transversal, donde se considerará a una población de 100 pacientes. Se aplicará dos instrumentos válidos y confiables. El primero evaluará la calidad de cuidados de enfermería, contará con 35 ítems y establece 3 dimensiones: humana, técnica y entorno; mientras que el cuestionario que evaluará la satisfacción del cuidado de enfermería contará con 46 ítems y comprende 6 dimensiones: accesibilidad, explica y facilita, se anticipa, conforta, monitorea y hace seguimiento y mantiene relación de confianza.
