The introduction of solid foods into a human's diet begins around six months of age, with the goal of meeting the infant's nutritional needs and ensuring optimal growth and development. It also contributes to gastrointestinal, neurological, immunological, and renal maturation. Proper implementation can reduce the risk of allergies, infections, type 1 diabetes mellitus, celiac disease, and other conditions. Furthermore, it generates positive benefits in both the short and long term. Therefore, it must be planned in a balanced and safe manner, considering the individual needs of each infant. However, inappropriate practices, such as early or late initiation and the introduction of foods with low nutritional quality, can have negative consequences for the child's health. Objective: "To determine how knowledge about the initiation of complementary feeding relates to the practices of mothers with children under 24 months of age who attend pediatric clinics." Methodology: Hypothetical-deductive method. A quantitative approach was used: 80 mothers with children under 2 years old gave their consent to participate in the research. The Spearman's rho coefficient will be used as a statistical formula to determine the relationship between the variables. Finally, all the information will be presented in statistical tables.application/pdfspahttp://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_abf2https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0/Enfermería PediátricaPediatric NursingNutrición, Alimentación y DietaDiet, Food, and NutritionFenómenos Fisiológicos Nutricionales del LactanteInfant Nutritional Physiological PhenomenaConocimiento sobre el inicio de alimentación complementaria y las prácticas en madres con niños menores de 24 meses que acuden a consultorio de pediatría de un hospital de Minsa Lima-2026Knowledge regarding the initiation of complementary feeding and practices among mothers of children under 24 months attending the pediatric clinic of a MINSA hospital in Lima, 2026http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_7a1fhttps://purl.org/pe-repo/ocde/ford#3.03.03https://purl.org/pe-repo/ocde/ford#3.02.03ODS 3: Salud y bienestar.
