La metodología será aplicada, con un adecuado enfoque cuantitativo, además de un diseño no experimental, observacional, de naturaleza correlacional y finalmente de corte transversal. La población total estará formada por 80 madres. Para el estudio y recolectar datos, básicamente se utilizará la encuesta. Los instrumentos que será usados, serán dos cuestionarios que medirán el conocimiento y otro sobre medidas preventivas, presentan validez y confiabilidad. El análisis estadístico descriptivo se mostrará en tablas, frecuencias y porcentajes. La contrastación de hipótesis se realizará mediante algunas pruebas en este caso serían las pruebas paramétricas (“correlación de Pearson”) y/o la otra prueba contraria a esta que es la no paramétricas (“Rho de Spearman”), con prueba de normalidad previa.The purpose of this research is to establish the relationship between knowledge and preventive measures regarding acute respiratory infections in mothers of children under 5 years of age, in a hospital in Villa El Salvador. The methodology will be applied, with an adequate quantitative approach, in addition to a non-experimental, observational, correlational and finally cross-sectional design. The total population will consist of 80 mothers. For the study and data collection, basically the survey will be used. The instruments that will be used will be two questionnaires that will measure knowledge and another one on preventive measures, presenting validity and reliability. The descriptive statistical analysis will be shown in tables, frequencies and percentages.
