El estudio es de enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo observacional, analítico y retrospectivo, con diseño caso-control. La variable independiente alcanza factores preoperatorios, intraoperatorios y postoperatorios, mientras que la variable dependiente pertenece a la presencia de infección del sitio quirúrgico. La población estará conformada por pacientes intervenidos quirúrgicamente en el tiempo señalado. La información se obtendrá mediante una guía de recolección de datos elaborada por la investigadora y validada por expertos, utilizando la técnica de observación documental a través de la revisión de historias clínicas. Los datos serán procesados con apoyo estadístico para identificar la relación entre los factores estudiados y la infección.This study, entitled “Risk Factors Associated with Surgical Site Infections at the National Hospital, Cajamarca – 2026,” aims to identify the risk factors related to surgical site infections in postoperative patients during 2026. It is a quantitative, observational, analytical, and retrospective research with a case-control design. The independent variable includes preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative risk factors, while the dependent variable is the presence of surgical site infection. The study population consists of patients who underwent surgical procedures within the specified period. Data collection will be performed using a guide developed by the researcher and validated by experts, employing documentary observation through the review of medical records.
