Materials and Methods: The research has a quantitative approach, with a descriptive and cross-sectional methodological design. The study uses a non-probabilistic, census sampling method, including 85 patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus who meet the inclusion criteria. Results: Inadequate self-care is present in 40% of patients, with poor treatment adherence in those with Type II Diabetes Mellitus, showing a 77% correlation. Inadequate self-care in the diet dimension is found in 43%, with poor treatment adherence in 41%. Inadequate self-care in the exercise dimension is found in 48.5%, with poor treatment adherence in 53%. Inadequate self-care in the glycemic control dimension is present in 42.5%, with poor treatment adherence in 59%.Objetivo: Determinar la relación del Autocuidado con la Adherencia al tratamiento en pacientes con diabetes mellitus tipo dos del Hospital de San Juan de Lurigancho, Lima 2022. Material y métodos: El enfoque metodológico utilizado fue cuantitativo, no experimental, transversal. La muestra fueron 85 pacientes con diabetes mellitus tipo dos siendo seleccionadas por criterios de inclusión y exclusión de la investigación. Para determinar la relación del Autocuidado con la Adherencia al tratamiento, para la primera variables se utilizó el instrumento del cuestionario este comprende 7 ítems agrupados en 3 dimensiones y para la variable adherencia al tratamiento se utilizó el instrumento el cuestionario test de Morisky-Green este comprende de 7 items agrupados en 5 dimensiones .
