This critical analysis, entitled “Effects of the DASH Diet on Blood Pressure and Glomerular Filtration Rate in Patients with Chronic Kidney Disease,” aimed to determine whether the DASH diet contributes to the control of hypertension and the improvement of glomerular filtration rate. Using the MARCO PS model, the following clinical question was formulated: Is the DASH diet effective in regulating blood pressure and optimizing glomerular filtration rate in adults over 18 years of age diagnosed with hypertension and chronic kidney disease? The methodology employed was based on the Evidence-Based Nutrition (EBN) approach. The literature review was conducted using various scientific databases, including PubMed, Embase, SciELO, Scopus, and ScienceDirect. A total of 28 publications were identified, of which 10 were selected and evaluated using the CASP tool. Finally, the Systematic Review and Meta-analysis entitled “Adherence to a dietary approach of a stop hypertension-style diet is inversely associated with chronic kidney disease: A systematic review and meta-analysis of prospective cohort studies” was selected. This research presents a Level II Evidence with a strong Grade of Recommendation, based on the investigator's judgment. The main finding of the critical analysis is the identification of a protective effect of the DASH diet against the risk of CKD. The study highlights the observation of an inverse association between consistent adherence to this dietary regimen and the rapid progression of the decline in estimated glomerular filtration rate (GFR).application/pdfspahttp://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_abf2https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0/Enfoques Dietéticos para Detener la HipertensiónDietary Approaches To Stop HypertensionTasa de Filtración GlomerularGlomerular Filtration RateEnfermedades Renales Crónicas de Etiología InciertaChronic Kidney Diseases of Uncertain EtiologyRevisión crítica: efectos de la dieta DASH sobre la presión arterial y el filtrado glomerular en pacientes con enfermedad renal crónicaCritical review: Effects of the DASH diet on blood pressure and glomerular filtration rate in patients with chronic kidney diseasehttp://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_7a1fhttps://purl.org/pe-repo/ocde/ford#3.03.04https://purl.org/pe-repo/ocde/ford#3.02.20ODS 2: Hambre cero.
