Nivel de conocimiento y acciones preventivas del Covid-19 en estudiantes de enfermería de una universidad privada en Lima, 2022

Abstract

El objetivo del presente estudio fue determinar la relación entre el nivel de conocimiento y las acciones preventivas del COVID-19 en estudiantes de enfermería de una universidad privada en Lima en el 2022. Esta investigación es de tipo aplicada, nivel correlacional, diseño no experimental, observacional, analítico y transversal. Se trabajó con una población de 358 estudiantes en el 5to año de la carrera de enfermería. La muestra estuvo conformada por 156 estudiantes. Para la recolección de datos se utilizó el cuestionario sobre el nivel de conocimiento de los estudiantes denominado C-Covid19, se empleó el SPSS v25.0 para el procesamiento de los datos. Teniendo como resultado que la edad promedio de los participantes son de 30 años, de los cual el 80,8% de la población son solo mujeres; el nivel de conocimiento que tienen las mujeres es bajo (81,8%). Con relación a las acciones preventivas tuvieron un conocimiento medio (79,1%). El análisis de normalidad (Kolmogorov-Smirnov) indica que no hay una distribución normal en ninguna de las dimensiones, por otro lado, el análisis bivariado mostró un p-valor significativo entre el nivel de conocimiento sobre la enfermedad del COVID-19 y las acciones preventivas (p-valor = 0,042). En los hallazgos de otras investigaciones se encontró que la mayoría tuvo una asociación entre los conocimientos y las acciones preventivas, lo cual no se evidencia en el presente estudio. Se concluye que el nivel de conocimiento que tienen los estudiantes de 5to año no se asoció estadísticamente significativa entre el nivel de conocimiento sobre las características del SARS-CoV2 y acciones preventivas.

The objective of the present study was to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and the preventive actions of COVID-19 in nursing students from a private university in Lima in 2022. This research is of an applied type, correlational level, non-experimental design, observational, analytical and transversal. We worked with a population of 358 students in the 5th year of the nursing career. The sample consisted of 156 students. For data collection, the questionnaire on the level of knowledge of the students called C-Covid19 was used, the SPSS v25.0 was used for data processing. Having as a result that the average age of the participants is 30 years, of which 80.8% of the population are only women; the level of knowledge that women have is low (81.8%). Regarding preventive actions, they had medium knowledge (79.1%). The normality analysis (Kolmogorov-Smirnov) indicates that there is no normal distribution in any of the dimensions, on the other hand, the bivariate analysis showed a significant p-value between the level of knowledge about the COVID-19 disease and the actions preventive (p-value = 0.042). In the findings of other investigations, it was found that the majority had an association between knowledge and preventive actions, which is not evidenced in the present study. It is concluded that the level of knowledge that 5th year students have was not statistically significantly associated between the level of knowledge about the characteristics of SARS-CoV2 and preventive actions.
