Coping strategies and quality of life in the patient with a stoma of the surgery service of the national hospital of metropolitan Lima, 2023

Abstract

Objective: To relate the coping strategies and the quality of life (QOL) in the ostomized patient in the surgery service of the Hospital San Juan de Lurigancho (HSJL), Lima 2023. Material and method: Quantitative, correlational, non-experimental study, with cross-section. The population and sample will be made up of ostomized patients who come to the HSJL surgery service, who meet the inclusion and exclusion criteria. For the coping strategies variable, the Brief COPE questionnaire will be used, while the STOMA QoL questionnaire will be used for the CV variable. To obtain the results, the Sperman's Rho parametric correlation test will be applied in the IBM SPSS 25.0 program, while the national and international background and theoretical bases will be considered to interpret and discuss the results.

Objetivo: Relacionar las estrategias de afrontamiento y la calidad de vida (CV) en el paciente ostomizado en el servicio de cirugía del Hospital San Juan de Lurigancho (HSJL), Lima 2023. Material y método: Estudio cuantitativo, correlacional, no experimental, con corte transversal. La población y muestra estará compuesta por los pacientes ostomizados que acuden a consulta en el servicio de cirugía del HSJL, que cumplan los criterios de inclusión y exclusión. Para la variable estrategias de afrontamiento se utilizará con el cuestionario Brief COPE, en tanto, para la variable CV se utilizará el cuestionario STOMA QoL. Para obtener los resultados, se aplicará la prueba paramétrica de correlación de Rho de Sperman en el programa IBM SPSS 25.0., mientras que los antecedentes nacionales e internacionales y las bases teóricas y serán considerados para interpretar y discutir los resultados.
