Ítem Acceso abierto Level of knowledge about acute diarrheal diseases with prevention practices in mothers of children under 5 years of age of the CRED program of the C.S., of San Juan de Amancaes- Lima- 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-05-06) Ñontol Mestanza, Diana Esperanza; Cárdenas de Fernández, María HildaObjective: To analyze the relationship between the level of knowledge about acute diarrheal diseases and prevention practices in mothers of children under 5 years of age in the CRED program of the CS, San Juan de Amancaes- Lima- 2022. Material and method: This research has a quantitative approach, because data collection is used to demonstrate the hypothesis based on statistical analysis and the analysis of the qualities or attributes described to determine the results of the behavior models in a population. Results. The sociodemographic data show that in age 89% are between 20 and 30 years old, 10% between 31 and 40 years old; Regarding origin, 47% are from the mountains, 37% from the coast, 10% from the jungle and 6% are foreigners; in marital status, 51% are single, 31% cohabiting, 14% married, 3% divorced and 1% widowed. In terms of knowledge about acute diarrheal diseases in the definition dimension, 39% are high, 33% indicate low knowledge, and 28% indicate medium knowledge. In terms of knowledge about acute diarrheal diseases in the preventive measures dimension, 40% are high, 31% indicate low knowledge, and 29% indicate medium knowledge. In terms of knowledge about acute diarrheal diseases in the treatment dimension, 42% are high, 29% indicate low knowledge, and 29% indicate medium knowledge. There is a 66% relationship between the level of knowledge about acute diarrheal diseases and prevention practices.
