Ítem Acceso abierto Effectiveness of abdominal drainage in preventing intraperitoneal abscesses in post-appendectomy patients(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2020-01-19) Acevedo Sebastián, Fiorella Yamile; Pelaez Claros, Alisson Consuelo; Pretell Aguilar, Rosa MaríaOBJECTIVE: Systematize the evidence on the effectiveness of abdominal drainage to prevent intraperitoneal abscess in patients after complicated appendectomy. MATERIAL AND METHODS: The systematic review of the 10 scientific articles on the effectiveness of abdominal drainage to prevent intraperitoneal abscess in patients after complicated appendectomy, were obtained from the following databases Epistemonikos, Pubmed, Scielo, Dialnet, Iasj.net, Corea.net, Sciencedrect and Google scholar. They were analyzed according to the Grade scale to determine the strength and quality of the evidence. Of the 10 articles, 40% (4/10) correspond to the methodological design of case-control studies, 30% (3/10) to a Retrospective Cohort Study, 20% (2/10) to Randomized Controlled Trials and 10% (1/10) a Systematic review. Being 30% High Quality and 70% Moderate Quality. RESULTS: Of the 10 articles reviewed, 100% (10/10) demonstrate that abdominal drainage is not effective in preventing intraperitoneal abscess in patients after complicated appendectomy. CONCLUSIONS: The present systematic review concludes that 10 of 10 evidence indicates that abdominal drainage is not effective in preventing intraperitoneal abscess in patients after complicated appendectomy.Ítem Acceso abierto Relationship between quality of life and therapeutic adherence to immunosuppressants in patients with liver transplantation(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2018-03-08) Chacón Quispe, Karina Carmen; Acevedo Sebastián, Fiorella Yamile; Matta Solis, Hernan HugoMaterials and method: this research was quantitative, correlational and cross-sectional; the population was 15 patients belonging to the liver transplant program. The SF-36 quality of life questionnaire and the immunosuppressive treatment adherence scale (ITAS) were used, validated and reliable instruments. Results: Through the Chi square analysis it was determined that with a significance level of 5% and with degrees of freedom of 4 according to the Chi square value table we obtained a limit value of 9.492, and according to our analysis we obtained a Chi value Pearson square of 10.95 where we conclude that our alternative research hypothesis is accepted. In other words, the quality of life of liver transplant patients is related to adherence to immunosuppressive treatment. Conclusion: A relationship was found between quality of life and therapeutic adherence to immunosuppressants in patients with liver transplants.
