Ítem Acceso abierto Knowledge about pressure injuries and preventive practices of nursing professionals from the Intensive Care Unit of the Arzobispo Loayza Hospital(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-04-30) Acosta Aguilar, Ivette Katherine; Cárdenas de Fernández, María HildaPressure Injuries (PPI) are a health problem with a very significant influence on morbidity and mortality rates and the living conditions of affected patients and their families. The theoretical and practical knowledge of nursing to prevent pressure ulcers, offer a clear idea of the current issue reiterated in the intensive care department, in this sense there are other institutional statistical departments that perform continuous control. The objective will be to determine how knowledge about pressure injuries is related to the preventive practices of nursing professionals in the intensive care unit with a Methodology: A study was designed with applied typology, non-experimental, and correlational-cross-sectional, with prospective projection, the population base was 50 nurses working in the ICU. The instrument: the survey will be based on the technique, distributed in 2 instruments that will have their corresponding validation by experts, the first questionnaire will have 4 dimensions, with 16 items, its reliability by Cronbach's Alpha was 0.795, and the second questionnaire will have 4 dimensions, with 25 items, its reliability was Cronbach's Alpha of 0.723.
