Ítem Acceso abierto Level of perception of users about the quality of care in the family planning clinic, Hospital San Juan de Lurigancho, between the months of November - December 2014(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 1905-07-06) Aguilar Huamán, Yaneth Rosilú; Ayala Mendivil, Ronald EspirituObjective: To determine the level of perception among users regarding the quality of care in the family planning clinic at Hospital San Juan de Lurigancho, between November and December 2014. Material and Methods: Survey. Sample: 349 users included in the study. Study type: Descriptive observational cross-sectional study. Results: Sociodemographic variables: Age between 20 and 39 years (average age of 27.954 ± 8.038 years), cohabiting marital status, secondary education level, occupation as housewife. The overall perception level of users regarding the quality of care in the family planning clinic was rated as very good by 55%. Aspects rated as very good: Users accessed the hospital through SIS (59%), received care with kindness and respect (39%), had a positive opinion of consultation privacy (67%), noted that the obstetrician answered their doubts and questions (58%), received equal treatment as others (50%), and indicated they would return to the hospital for care (87%). Additionally, 44% mentioned that the obstetrician introduced themselves at the start of the consultation, 54% reported their privacy was respected during the family planning consultation, and 36% rated the waiting time as fair. Regarding the technical dimension: The obstetrician adhered to biosecurity techniques, rated very good by 76%. In the human dimension: The obstetrician inspired trust, rated very good by 58%. In the environmental dimension: Users’ perception was good, with 39%. Conclusions: The overall perception level of users regarding the quality of care in the family planning clinic was rated as very good by 55%.
