    Self-care capacity in the elderly at the Casa de Todos shelter – Palomino – 2022.

    The present research work aimed to determine the self-care capacity of the elderly in the Casa de Todos - Palomino - 2022 shelter, a study that was of a basic, descriptive, quantitative approach, cross-sectional type, where the sample was 70 older adults, using the observation technique, data that was taken through the Barthel Index for the variable self-care capacity, the results revealed that 57.1% of the population are able to carry out their daily life activities, 35.7% require minimal supervision or support and while 7.1% need great support and supervision to carry out their daily life activities, this is why the preservation of the functionality of those sheltered should be encouraged in order to have a better quality of life.
