    Factors that determine the choice of renal replacement therapy modality in patients with chronic kidney failure

    Objective: To establish the factors that determine the choice of renal replacement therapy modality in chronic kidney disease patients. Materials and Methods: A systematic review of 10 articles and one systematic review containing 23 articles was conducted. Results: Education was identified as the most significant factor in the choice of renal replacement therapy modality. Factors like employment intention, age, marital status, family support, comorbidities, and the ability to maintain an active lifestyle were also influential. Conclusion: Information and education about kidney disease are the most crucial factors influencing the choice of renal replacement therapy, with education increasing knowledge and improving decision-making.
