Ítem Acceso abierto Family functionality and quality of life in patients with hemodialysis treatment at the PB&G World Trading clinic – San Miguel, Lima, 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-08-06) Alayo Ocampo, Melissa; Cárdenas de Fernández, María HildaIntroduction: The global situation of chronic kidney disease (CKD) is cause for concern, therefore, organizations such as the Pan American Health Organization and the World Health Organization have issued warnings about its exponential growth. In the specific case of Peru, there is also an increasing number of people affected by this disease. Objective: to determine how family functionality is related to quality of life in patients undergoing hemodialysis treatment. Method: the deductive method will be used and it has a quantitative approach, the scope will be correlational, the design will be non-experimental with a transectional cut; likewise, the population will be 50 patients suffering from kidney disease, also using a census sample that will include all individuals in the population. For purposes of collecting information and data, two questionnaires based on the Likert scale will be used; In this sense, the first questionnaire evaluated the family functionality variable and its respective dimensions; Likewise, the second questionnaire, called SF-36, measured the quality of life and its respective dimensions. Thus, the two instruments proved to be reliable and valid, with values of 0.811 and 0.860, respectively. In addition, the schedule of activities and the budget were prepared in order to guarantee the optimal development of the research project.
