    The research was titled: Consumption and cost of antimicrobials before and during the COVID 19 pandemic in medical prescriptions of non-COVID 19 hospitalized patients at the Domingo Olavegoya Jauja Hospital. Junín 2021. The general objective was to evaluate the consumption and cost of antimicrobials before and during the COVID 19 pandemic in medical prescriptions of non-COVID 19 hospitalized patients at the Domingo Olavegoya Jauja Hospital. The methodology is applied, descriptive level and non-experimental and longitudinal design, the data collection technique was observational. The sample consisted of records from January to December 2019 and from January to December 2020 of the consumption and cost of antimicrobials. The results verified that by 2020 the mean consumption of antimicrobials in medical prescriptions of non-COVID 19 hospitalized patients at the Domingo Olavegoya Jauja Hospital decreased by 34 and the mode by 135. The mean cost of antimicrobials in medical prescriptions of non-COVID 19 hospitalized patients at the Domingo Olavegoya Jauja Hospital decreased by 1,955 and the mode by 0. Concluding, that there is a significant difference between the consumption and cost of antimicrobials before and during the COVID 19 pandemic in medical prescriptions of non-COVID 19 hospitalized patients at the Domingo Olavegoya Jauja Hospital.
