Ítem Acceso abierto Risk factor for carpal tunnel syndrome in administrative workers with repetitive movements(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2021-03-21) Aliaga Huamani, Giovanna; Savero Huamán, Romy Katherine; Arevalo Marcos, Rodolfo AmadoObjective: To analyze the evidence on the risk factor for presenting carpal tunnel syndrome in administrative workers with repetitive hand movements. Material and Methods: Systematic review using the Grade evaluation system to identify the level of evidence, found in the following databases: Scielo, Lilacs, Medline, Ebsco, Cochrane, Dialnet, Pubmed and Google scholar. Likewise, of the evidence found in the current work through ten scientific articles, 40% (n=4/10) were systematic review studies, 20% (n=2/10) were cross-sectional studies, 20% (n =2/10) case-control studies, 10% (n=1/10) cohort studies, 10% (n=1/10) descriptive study. According to the product achieved from the systematic exploration carried out in the recent project, they derive from territories such as Colombia (30%), Spain (30%), Germany (20%) and Ecuador (20%). Results: they indicate that there is a risk of developing carpal tunnel syndrome in administrative workers due to repetitive movements. Conclusion: The reviews of the 10 scientific articles show that there is great evidence of a greater risk of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome in activities that require a high degree of repetition, forced exercises, of which 70% (n=7/ 10) maintain that age, seniority and gender influence a greater risk of developing carpal tunnel syndrome while 30% (n=3/10) maintain that the population who works in the administrative area has a low risk of developing the disease compared to other areas.
