    Relationship between internal communication and job satisfaction in nursing professionals of the nephrology service of the Edgardo Rebagliati Martins Hospital, 2017.

    Internal communication within a healthcare institution, whether between management and staff or among peers, shares some common elements with intrinsic and extrinsic factors of job satisfaction. The objective of this study was to determine the relationship between internal communication and job satisfaction among nursing professionals at the Edgardo Rebagliati Martins Hospital. The study employed a quantitative, correlational, and cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 50 nurses working in the nephrology department of the hospital, to whom two instruments were applied: one for internal communication (adapted by the researchers) and another for job satisfaction (General Job Satisfaction Scale NTP 394), both with 15 questions containing 5 items, ranging from 1 to 5 points. The results show internal communication with a score of 51.22 ± 8.2, which is very similar to the total satisfaction score of 50.68 ± 8.76. Inferential analysis indicates a positive correlation between internal communication and job satisfaction, as well as their intrinsic and extrinsic dimensions (p > 0.05). It was concluded that internal communication plays an important role in determining the job satisfaction of its workers.
