    The objective of this research was to "Determine how associated factors are related to the use of medicinal plants as an alternative treatment for respiratory infections in the inhabitants of the Palcamayo-Tarma district. Junín. 2023". Its methodology consisted of a deductive method, with a quantitative approach, non-experimental design, cross-sectional and correlational level. The sample consisted of 385 inhabitants focused by probability sampling, in which a survey was used and as an instrument the questionnaire prepared by the researchers where the data collected was entered into the SPSS Statistics system version 27. It was obtained that of 385 respondents, 52.2% were men, where 42.6% are residents from 18 to 30 years of age, 67.5% of respondents belong to the countryside. 44.4% of the population have limitations to acquire plants or medicines, 30.9% use them for the common cold and 84.4% of the respondents indicate that they use them more in winter. 95.1% indicate that medicinal plants can cope with a respiratory epidemic. It was determined that demographic factors and socioeconomic factors are not related to the use of medicinal plants in the inhabitants of the Palcamayo-Tarma district. Junín. 2023.
