Ítem Acceso abierto Risk factors related to sports injuries in patients of the Cerfineuro rehabilitation center, 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-12-05) Alvarado Calla, Fabiola; Arrieta Córdova, Andy FreudA quantitative, non-experimental approach was used with a sample of 115 patients meeting the selection criteria: ages between 25 and 35 years and who have engaged in sports within the last 12 months. Results showed that 26.09% and 24.35% reported risk factors with frequencies of “sometimes” and “almost never,” respectively, while 18.26% reported “almost always” risk factors. 16.52% presented risk factors with a frequency of “always,” and 14.78% never experienced risk factors. With a significance level of 5% and 8 degrees of freedom, the chi-square value was 9.899; the results indicated that most injuries required 8 to 15 days of recovery, with the highest percentage of injuries occurring in the hands or fingers. We can conclude that the frequency of risk factors and sports injuries are independent and unrelated, as are the risk factors and types of sports injuries, as well as the injury recovery time.
