Publicación Acceso abierto Incidencia de parasitosis en procesos anémicos en niños de 4 a 6 años de la Institución Educativa Privada Mixta Beato Juan Pablo II – Nuevo Imperial Cañete, año 2017(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2018-10-01) Alvarado Saldaña, Sandra Aricseli; Parreño Tipián, Juan ManuelIn this study, children aged 4 to 6 years were evaluated through parasitological analysis using the Direct, Faust, and Graham methods, as well as hematological analyses of hemoglobin and hematocrit employing the cyanmethemoglobin and microhematocrit techniques. The research was conducted at the private mixed educational institution Beato Juan Pablo II – Nuevo Imperial, Cañete, in 2017. The sample consisted of 32 children, with the following results: Direct method—Giardia lamblia cysts 22%, Entamoeba coli cysts 13%, and Endolimax nana cysts 6%; Faust method—Giardia lamblia cysts 27%, Entamoeba coli cysts 33%, and Endolimax nana cysts 22%. The Graham test was positive in 22% of cases. The incidence of anemia was 16%, with the highest percentage found in 5-year-old children (27%). A relationship was identified between anemia and Enterobius vermicularis.
