    Systematic Review: patient satisfaction with Hospital Clinical Laboratory Services

    A systematic review was conducted analyzing eight databases of studies published in English and Spanish between 2006 and 2016 that assess user satisfaction with hospital clinical laboratory services. 52 articles were found, of which 15 were selected for analysis. Results: 15 descriptive articles using instruments such as SERVQUAL, SEUSS, and institution-designed surveys were evaluated. The studies were conducted in Argentina, Colombia, Costa Rica, South Korea, Ecuador, Ethiopia, USA, Paraguay, Peru, South Africa, and Venezuela. Conclusion: Despite the 15 studies not using the same instrument, all evaluated responsiveness, ranging from low to very high. Among those who evaluated reliability (7 studies) and empathy (4 studies), the scores ranged from high to very high. For security and tangible aspects, the scores ranged from medium to very high. The results of the different studies are inconsistent, and the overall satisfaction with laboratory services could not be determined, as not all studies evaluated the same aspects.
