Ítem Desconocido Level of knowledge about the prevention of iron deficiency anemia in mothers of children under 1 to 5 years of age, Cercado de Lima health center – 2019(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2019-10-23) Alvarez Monja, José Manuel; Cárdenas de Fernández, María HildaObjective: Determine the level of knowledge about the prevention of iron deficiency anemia in mothers of children under 1 to 5 years of age, in a health center in Cercado de Lima - 2019. Material and method: Descriptive, cross-sectional, prospective study in 82 mothers of children under 5 years of age treated at the Mirones Alto health center - 2019. The survey was used through the questionnaire validated by Huayaney on the level of knowledge of the mothers about the prevention of iron deficiency anemia, with 13 items that estimate whether or not the mother has knowledge on the subject. Results: Of the total, it was determined that 38 (46.4%) mothers have knowledge and 44 (53.6%) do not have knowledge regarding the prevention of iron deficiency anemia, establishing a moderate level of knowledge. The most frequent age group was 20 to 30 years old (57.3%), followed by the 30 to 40 year old age group (18.3%). Twenty-nine (35.4%) mothers had 2 children, 23 (28%) had 1 child, and 22 (26.8%) had 3 children. Conclusion: A moderate level of knowledge about the prevention of iron deficiency anemia was determined in mothers of children under 1 to 5 years of age, in a health center in Cercado de Lima - 2019.Ítem Desconocido Nursing care for the prevention of Pneumonia due to mechanical ventilation and its relationship with the practice in the ICU of a National Hospital, Lima 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-08-14) Alvarez Monja, José Manuel; Cárdenas de Fernández, María HildaObjective: To determine the relationship between nursing care for the prevention of ventilator-associated pneumonia and its connection to practice in the ICU of a National Hospital, Lima 2022. Materials and Methods: A quantitative correlational study. The population will be finite and will consist of 80 nurses working in the ICU area of a National Hospital in Lima, 2022. The technique to be used will be observation, and two validated instruments will be applied to collect the information that will answer the proposed hypotheses. Quantitative measurements and statistical analyses will be conducted to determine the predictions or behavior of the phenomena or issues addressed. Throughout the investigation, research conduct will adhere to ethical principles.
