Publicación Acceso abierto Factores condicionantes de la automedicación en tiempos de COVID-19 en el distrito de Villa María del Triunfo – Lima 2021(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2021-08-09) Alvarez Urrutia, Daysy Vanessa; Ramos Jaco, Antonio GuillermoThis research paper, titled "Conditioning Factors of Self-Medication During COVID-19 in the District of Villa María del Triunfo – Lima 2021," had the objective of determining the conditioning factors of self-medication during COVID-19 in the Villa María del Triunfo district, Lima, in 2021. The methodology used was an analytical-descriptive method with a quantitative approach. The research type was basic, and the design was non-experimental. The population consisted of 465,735 citizens, and the sample consisted of 384 citizens of the Villa María del Triunfo district. Results: 100% of the population admitted to purchasing medications without a medical prescription. 30.9% reported being influenced by television to consume medications, and 97.1% indicated they had knowledge of COVID-19 symptoms. 63.4% had a medium socioeconomic level, 38.2% would go to a hospital if they suspected COVID-19 symptoms, and 53% had SIS health insurance. 19.2% reported consuming only Ivermectin, 50.9% rarely consumed medications for COVID-19 without a prescription, 71.9% claimed to know about the adverse effects medications commonly cause, and 71.4% did not present any of the mentioned symptoms.0
