    Introduction: It is very important that all nursing professionals be able to know and control the adequate levels of sedoanalgesia of the patient under their care, especially those admitted to the ICU, since they require a prompt recovery and adequate and progressive separation from the mechanical ventilator. Objective: To determine how the knowledge is related to the practices of the nursing professional on the assessment of sedoanalgesia in patients with invasive mechanical ventilation in the Intensive Care Unit of the Emergency Hospital of Villa El Salvador, 2023. Methods: For the Research development has considered a quantitative, descriptive, correlational approach and observational design. As a population, all nursing professionals who work in the Intensive Care Unit of the Emergency Hospital of Villa El Salvador have been considered.
