Therefore, the objective of this review was to know the risk factors that are associated with the development of gastric cancer, for this purpose the evidence-based nutrition (NUBE) methodology was used. The search strategy was developed with the keywords, and it was carried out in the Scopus, Embase, Pubmed and Cochrane Library databases. Of those, a total of 60 were obtained, of which 10 were selected for analysis through the CASPe tool, to be able to classify them according to degree of evidence and level of recommendation. The selected article was classified with an AI level of evidence and a strong recommendation; salt in the diet is an independent risk factor for the development of gastric cancer, just as alcohol consumption is more likely to be a risk factor. risk of excessive consumption. Likewise, red meat and a high-fat diet increase the risk, while fresh fruits, vegetables and certain micronutrients such as selenium and vitamin C have protective effects.
