Ítem Acceso abierto Knowledge and attitudes of the nursing professional in caring for users with HIV/AIDS who attend the emergency service of a hospital of the Ministry of Health, Ayacucho - 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-12-17) Antezana Castro, Giselda Clarisa; Montoro Valdivia, Marcos AntonioIntroduction: The performance of nurses who work in critical care, especially in emergency services whose work is based on ethical principles, attitudes and scientific competencies. Their knowledge and skills contribute to their efficiency and safety in emergency services and their attitude helps to improve the quality of care and avoid stigma and discrimination due to their diagnosis of users with HIV/AIDS. Objective: Determine how knowledge is related to the attitudes of the nursing professional in caring for users with HIV/AIDS who attend the emergency service of a Hospital of the Ministry of Health, Ayacucho – 2023. Methods: It is a study with a quantitative, non-experimental, applied, cross-sectional, correlational scope that uses the hypothetical-deductive method. The census sample will consist of 60 nurses from the different health services of the MINSA Hospital, Ayacucho. The survey will be used as a technique, to measure the knowledge variable, the UNAIDS HIV/AIDS management guide questionnaire will be used, to measure attitudes, the Likert-type scale questionnaire adapted by Chaupe M. for the target population will be used. which are validated and reliable to measure the variables in question. The collected data will be processed by SPSS25 and the hypotheses will be tested using a Spearman correlation coefficient statistical test given the qualitative nature of the variables.
