Lima, 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-11-06) Aquino Fernandez, Anderson Felix; Tamayo Toro, Mónica AlexandraObjective: To identify the relationship between Burnout Syndrome (BOS) and associated factors in the laboratory staff at SYNLAB Central Headquarters during the COVID-19 pandemic in Lima, 2022. Materials and methods: A data collection form was used to gather information on biological, personal, work-related, and economic factors, and the Maslach Burnout Inventory - HSS was employed. Results: The found burnout level was medium (73.5%), followed by low and high levels (22.5% and 3.9%, respectively). The study population consisted of 74.5% females, with 50% in the 20-30 age group, and 66.7% expressed moderate satisfaction with their salary. A Spearman Rho of 0.875 with a p-value ≥0.05 indicated no correlation between the associated factors and BOS; however, a statistically significant relationship was found between BOS, age, and satisfaction with remuneration (p-values of 0.00 and 0.042, respectively). Conclusion: No correlation was found between associated factors and burnout syndrome, but there was a statistically significant relationship between BOS, age, and satisfaction with salary.
