Ítem Acceso abierto Burnout Syndrome and Job Performance among Nursing Staff at a Private Clinic, Lima 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-10-14) Arana Melendez, Dianhy Sther; Gonzales Saldaña, Susan HaydeeThis study was conducted with the aim of determining whether there is a relationship between burnout syndrome and job performance among nursing staff working at a private clinic in 2022. The research employed a cross-sectional design and was also descriptive, quantitative, and correlational. The study population consisted of 70 different nurses. The survey technique was chosen, with the questionnaire as the instrument. It was found that there is a relationship between burnout syndrome and job performance through Spearman's correlation factor, which was Rho = -0.302. These results indicate the presence of a negative connection between both variables, which, since they are inversely proportional, suggests that improvement in job performance is likely to occur after the absence of burnout syndrome. The results led the researchers to conclude that there is a connection between burnout syndrome and overall job performance. Similarly, 1.4% (1) of the respondents from a private clinic in Lima had a high presence of burnout syndrome, 91.4% (64) had a medium level, and 7.1% (5) had a low level. On the other hand, 54.3% (38) had excellent job performance, 44.3% (31) had good job performance, and 1.4% (1) had poor job performance.
