While job performance is the manifestation of competencies, knowledge, skills and abilities as well as motivations and values that contribute to achieving the goals of the institution. In Huaraz Hospital level 2-II, nursing supervision was initiated in 2017 in response to the need to improve and ensure the quality of patient care. For such reasons, it is decided to execute this research that has as general objective: To establish the relationship between the role of Nurse Supervisors and the nurse's work performance. Specific objectives: To determine if the role of supervising nurses in the area of Planning, Leadership, Communication and Teaching are related to the nurse's work performance. Material and methods: The study is a quantitative approach, applied, cross-sectional and correlational in scope. The data collection technique used was the survey and the measurement instrument was the questionnaire, which was carried out through periodic visits and online via Google forms. The correlation coefficient used was Pearson. Obtaining as relevant results that: There is a significant relationship between the role of the Supervising Nurses and the work performance of the nurse in a hospital in Huaraz, where 48.0% of nurses perceive that the role of the supervising nurse is regular and consequently their work performance is also regular, and 27.0% state that the role of the nursing supervisor is adequate and therefore their work performance is good. Therefore, it is concluded that less than 50% of nurses have a good job performance compared to the role of the nurse supervisor.
