Organizational climate and culture of patient safety in nurses from the emergency service of a private clinic in Lima, 2023

The objective of the study is: "To determine the relationship between the organizational climate and the culture of patient safety in nurses from the emergency service of a Private Clinic in Lima, 2023". The study method will be hypothetical deductive, with a quantitative approach, basic type, non-experimental design, correlational and crosssectional level, it will be carried out in June 2023, 85 nurses from the emergency service will participate, who meet the inclusion criteria. and exclusion established. For data collection, two validated instruments will be applied for each variable by expert judgment, the first will be the Questionnaire to measure the organizational climate in nurses, by Gerson Garcia Meza with a Cronbach's Alpha coefficient of 0. 898 and the Questionnaire to measure the safety culture of Natali R. Mori Yachas with a Cronbach's Alpha coefficient of 0.860. The instruments will be administered in person, prior acceptance of the informed consent. The Odds Ratio value will be calculated as a measure of the strength of the relationship between the variables and it will be considered a significant relationship when a p value < 0.05 is obtained. The calculations will be executed in the SPSS version 24 program.

Stress factors in nursing students participating in pre-professional practices at the Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, Lima – 2019

Objective: Determine the main stressors in Nursing students who carry out Pre-professional practices at the Norbert Wiener Private University, Lima - 2019. Materials and methods: Study with a quantitative approach, non-experimental, descriptive and cross-sectional design, with a sample of 199 students that were calculated probabilistically from a finite population. The data collection technique was the survey and the instrument used was the KEZKAK Bilingual Questionnaire. Results: The highest weighted factor scores were found in the dimension Lack of competence, Contact with suffering and Helplessness and uncertainty, with mean values of 2.00 ± 0.86; 1.92 ± 0.67 and 1.92 ± 0.66, respectively. Regarding the main situations that generated a lot of stress, there were “fear of pricking myself with an infected needle”, “confusing my medication”, “messing up or making a mistake”, “receiving a complaint from a patient” and “feeling that I am not I can help the patient”, with frequencies of 53.3%, 42.7%, 42.7%, 37.2% and 34.2%, respectively. Conclusions: The main stressors were lack of competence, contact with suffering and helplessness and uncertainty; Regarding the weighted average score according to sex, it was higher among female students, compared to male students; According to marital status, it was higher among cohabiting and married students, compared to single and divorced students; According to occupation, it was higher in students who study and work compared to those who only study.
