Ítem Acceso abierto Relationship between the level of work stress and musculoskeletal disorders in the health personnel of the surgical center in the maternal perinatal institute of Lima 2020(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-01-30) Arrieta De La Rosa, Diana Carolina; Avila Vargas Machuca, Jeannette GiselleObjective: To determine the relationship between the level of occupational stress and the appearance of musculoskeletal disorders in healthcare personnel in the Surgical Center of the Maternal and Perinatal Institute, Lima 2020. Materials and methods: The study was of a descriptive, quantitative, and correlational type. The total population consisted of 80 healthcare professionals from the Surgical Center of the Maternal and Perinatal Institute in Lima. Instruments: To measure the first variable, the International Labour Organization (ILO)/World Health Organization (WHO) Occupational Stress Scale will be used. This scale includes dimensions such as organizational climate, organizational structure, organizational territory, new technologies, leader influence, lack of cohesion, and group support, with 25 items on a Likert scale from 1 to 7, where 1 means never and 7 means always. Occupational stress levels can be categorized as low, moderate, and high. For the second variable, the Nordic Questionnaire (NMQ) by Kuorinka (1987) will be used. It has 4 dimensions: Sensitivity, Location, Time, and Intensity. It consists of 13 questions, of which 2 are to be completed and 11 are to be marked.
