Ítem Acceso abierto Exercise tolerance and its relationship with quality of life in healthy adults from 20 to 60 years of age in one of the Dirandro PNP units, March - April, Lima 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-11-24) Arteaga Porras, Kimberley Solange; Chero Pisfil, Santos LucioA national study conducted in Peru (2005) found that 40% of Peruvians engage in little physical activity due to work commitments. Exercise tolerance is affected by quality of life. Objective: To determine the relationship between exercise tolerance and quality of life in healthy adults aged 20-60 years in one of the DIRANDRO PNP units, March-April Lima 2022. Materials and Methods: The population consisted of 200 healthy adults of both sexes, aged 20-60 years, with a sample of 164 healthy adults. It was an applied study with a correlational, prospective, and cross-sectional design and a quantitative approach. Two instruments were used: the 1-minute Step Test (STST) to measure exercise tolerance and the SF-36 questionnaire to assess quality of life. Results: The mean and standard deviation for exercise tolerance was 33.01 ± 8.574, and for quality of life, 79.20 ± 10.206. The correlation between exercise tolerance and quality of life was (0.000), less than 0.05, so the null hypothesis was rejected. Conclusions: A relationship was found between exercise tolerance and quality of life.
