Publicación Acceso abierto Factores que influyen al rechazo a la vacunación COVID-19 en personas que acuden en una oficina farmacéutica del distrito de Ate Vitarte 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-05-19) Astete Jaramillo, Elvis Jesús; Tolentino Guerra, Tania; Ciquero Cruzado, Mélida MercedesThe objective of the research was to identify the factors influencing the rejection of COVID-19 vaccination among individuals visiting a pharmaceutical office in the Ate Vitarte district in 2022. Method: A quantitative approach was used, with a basic, descriptive, cross-sectional, and prospective non-experimental design. The technique was a survey, and the instrument was an 18-question closed questionnaire. Results revealed the following sociodemographic characteristics: 51% of users were between 30 and 59 years old, 57% were female, 78% had a completed secondary education, and 49% belonged to the Evangelical religion. Furthermore, 72% of users reported not having been diagnosed with COVID-19, 88% did not have chronic diseases, and 53% believed they would experience side effects and adverse reactions. 72% distrusted the vaccine's effectiveness, 70% of people believed the information available was very scarce. It is important to note that 59% believed false information, and 71% believed that "vaccination enriches manufacturers." Conclusion: Factors influencing vaccine rejection were identified as being female, being over 30 years old, having a completed secondary education, not having chronic diseases, believing false information, and distrusting the effectiveness and safety of the vaccines.
