Material and method: This is a quantitative study with a descriptive design, cross-sectional, and non-experimental. The study population will consist of 72 direct family members of patients hospitalized in the general Intensive Care Unit of the Regional Hospital of Ica. Data collection will be conducted using the survey technique, and the instrument will be a family satisfaction questionnaire, developed and validated by Palacios, which consists of 7 items for general data and 10 items related to family satisfaction, using a 5-point Likert scale. The scale ranges from 1 (very dissatisfied) to 5 (very satisfied), where 1 represents the lowest level of family satisfaction and 5 represents the highest. The instrument validation process was carried out through expert opinions, and its internal consistency reliability was measured using Cronbach's alpha correlation, which yielded a reliability of 0.878. The scale to measure the final family satisfaction score is as follows: Dissatisfied (09-18), Moderately satisfied (18-27), and Satisfied (27-45).
