    Knowledge and practice about the kangaroo method in nurses of the neonatal intensive care unit of a hospital in Villa El Salvador - 2022

    The care of a premature neonate is highly complex due to their needs and vulnerability, requiring the nursing staff to be highly trained. The kangaroo method is considered a nursing care protocol for premature neonates, aiming to foster mother-infant interaction and create a bond, achieving positive outcomes in temperature regulation, breastfeeding, and attachment. Objective: To determine the relationship between knowledge and practice of the kangaroo method among nurses in the neonatal intensive care unit of a hospital in Villa El Salvador - 2022. Method: The research will be non-applied, observational, descriptive, correlational, and cross-sectional. A convenience sample of 40 individuals attended between October 2022 will be used.
