However, due to workload or the monotony of the job, the patient's perspective on the quality of care provided by the nursing staff during hospitalization is often overlooked, even though this perspective should be vital for fostering a stronger bond, promoting faster recovery, and ensuring acceptance. Objective: To determine the relationship between the quality of nursing care and the level of satisfaction perceived by elderly patients hospitalized in the medical department of a hospital in Lima, 2021. Method: The study will be observational, descriptive, correlational, and cross-sectional. The population and intentional sample will consist of 50 elderly patients hospitalized at a hospital in Lima. The sample will be collected between October and December 2021, using the Nursing Care Quality Scale created and validated by Garcia Leyton Liz Johanna, designed to assess the quality of care provided by nursing professionals to patients in a particular service. Additionally, an individual survey will be used to evaluate the elderly patient's satisfaction with the care they receive. This survey was developed and validated by licensed nurse Gloria Zavala and will allow data collection to be processed using non-parametric tests to identify the relationship between the two variables in order to examine the level of quality perceived by geriatric patients during their hospitalization in the medical department of the hospital in Lima.
