Ítem Acceso abierto Biosafety standards in the care of patients used by health personnel of the surgical center of the Hospital Arzobispo Loayza, ward 6- II, Lima, 2021(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2021-02-07) Ayala Escriba , Evelyn Rosse Mary; Mori Castro, Jaime AlbertoIntroduction: According to the WHO (World Health Organization), biosafety standards are those rules and health guidelines implemented to address the well-being and safety of professionals who face dangers of organic, synthetic and contact origin. Objective: Determine the level of compliance with biosafety standards in patient care used by health personnel in the surgical center of the A. Loayza Hospital, in room 6-II, Lima, 2021. Methodology: A study will be carried out quantitative, descriptive and cross-sectional. The study population will be made up of 30 health professionals including surgeons, anesthesiologists and nursing staff who work in room 6-II of the surgical center. A validated instrument will be used with the observation technique where the correct use of biosafety standards, which consists of 3 dimensions: physical barriers, chemical barriers and waste elimination. The data obtained will be statistically processed in the SPSS program.
