    Knowledge and practice of steam sterilization of the nursing staff of a sterilization center of a Hospital Del Callao, Peru 2022.

    Sterilization is one of the processes that contribute to the reduction of infections associated with healthcare, contributing to patient safety, therefore the following research is carried out, the objective of which is to relate the knowledge and practice of steam sterilization of nursing staff in the sterilization center of a Hospital in Callao, 2022. Material and method: The approach will be quantitative, observational, non-experimental, correlational and cross-sectional design. The population will be made up of 40 health professionals working in a Hospital in Callao, Peru. To measure knowledge, the questionnaire "Knowledge about autoclave sterilization in nursing staff, surgical center Hospital Higos Urco Chachapoyas 2019" will be applied by Nursing graduate Marylu Villanueva Soplín, with an adequate validity of 1.64 and a strong reliability of 0.83. To measure practice, the Checklist of the physical method of the sterilization process" will be applied, by Nursing graduates Yuly Palma Gutiérrez and Cinthia Samillán Mamani, with an adequate validity of 1.72 and a high reliability of 0.91. The instruments will be administered in person, after administration of informed consent. A descriptive and correlational statistical analysis will be performed.
