Methodology: A quantitative study approach, hypothetical-deductive, non-experimental method was developed, correlational, cross-sectional; The sample was made up of 119 patients undergoing the colonoscopy procedure through the survey technique with two instruments corresponding to each variable. Results: the results for sociodemographic characteristics show that age 36 and older predominated with 67%; for Marital Status Single 42%, in Occupation in Casual Work 44%, in Higher Education Level 57%. In the physical symptoms dimension of the level of anxiety with stress, mild or moderate anxiety with medium stress was found in 55.5%. In the cognitive symptoms dimension of the level of anxiety with stress, mild or moderate anxiety with medium stress was found in 54.6%. In the behavioral symptoms dimension of the level of anxiety with stress, mild or moderate anxiety with medium stress was found in 47.1%. In the level of anxiety with stress, mild or moderate anxiety with medium stress was found in 70.6%. Conclusions: It is determined that the relationship between anxiety level and stress of patients undergoing colonoscopy procedure in the gastroenterology office of a private clinic in the city of Lima, 2023 is positive and very good (Spearman's Rho = 0.744) and is statistically significant with a calculated significance value of p=0.032<0.05.
