It is estimated that 80% of people will experience lower back pain at some point in their lives. Chronic pain is defined as pain lasting longer than three months due to an injury. In modern times, work systems change or intensify, changing the workplace, daily schedules to complex shifts, as is the case with healthcare personnel. Similarly, the intensification of activities affects people's mental and emotional health, maximizing problems such as stress, fear, anxiety, or depression worldwide. Psychosocial factors have been analyzed for their influence on musculoskeletal disorders, with combined exposure to physical and psychosocial factors having more severe effects on workers' health than exposure to a single factor. Similarly, once an injury occurs, certain psychosocial factors are important in the transition from acute to chronic pain.
