For this, a correlational quantitative investigation was applied, the Relationships between the influence of the PBL methodology and the academic performance of medical technology students, the technique used for data collection is the survey. According to Chasteauneuf (2009), the questionnaire consists of a set of questions regarding one or more variables to be measured in a sample of 80 students from a Peruvian university. Academic performance was measured from the grades obtained in the 2020 academic period by medical technology students measured through dimensions such as conceptual, procedural and attitudinal knowledge. The results found reveal that there is a correlation between the problem-based learning methodology and its influence on the academic performance of medical technology students. It is highlighted that there is a high correlation between each of the strategies measured on the scale, and between the academic performance of medical technology students. Finally, it is proposed that the Problem-Based Learning methodology can be applied in the different academic areas.
