Ítem Acceso abierto Relationship between pregnancy induced hypertension and low newborn weight.(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-04-24) Barreto Arias, Nathaly Leidy; Marín Guevara, Leticia GloriaThe objective of this research is to determine the relationship between pregnancy-induced hypertension and low newborn weight at the San Juan de Lurigancho Hospital, in Lima, in the period from 2021 to 2022. The study design is non-experimental. quantitative cross section. The results were regarding pregnancy-induced hypertension and low birth weight, where the highest percentage was obtained: severe preeclampsia with low birth weight. Regarding maternal age, the group from 20 to 34 years had the highest percentage, with regard to the number of pregnancies, the highest percentage was found in the first number of gestation, in relation to the intergenic period the highest percentage was found in the interval greater than four years, in terms of gestational age, the degree of 37 weeks or more can be highlighted with a higher percentage. It was concluded that there was a statistically significant association between pregnancy-induced hypertension and low birth weight according to the Kruskal-Wallis test.
