    Parents' knowledge of adverse reactions to immunization in children under 5 years of age in a Maternal and Child Center in Villa El Salvador, 2020

    Objective: To determine the knowledge of parents about adverse reactions to immunization in children under 5 years old in a Maternal-Infant Center in Villa El Salvador 2020. Material and method: Descriptive, quantitative, cross-sectional study. The population consisted of 90 parents of children under 5 years old attending the Growth and Development Control and Immunization Program of a Maternal-Infant Center in Villa El Salvador. The sample consisted of 74 parents, and a survey with a questionnaire about parents' knowledge of adverse reactions to immunization in children under 5 years old will be used. The questionnaire was developed by Nancy Gilda Chipana Canaza in her research titled "Knowledge of mothers about post-vaccination adverse reactions at the Lucio Aldazábal Pauca Huancané Hospital, 2019." It consists of 18 items, validated by expert judges, and reliability tested through a pilot study with a population of 20 parents to calculate the Kuder-Richardson (KR-20 = 0.94). Survey data will be processed statistically, presented in tables and/or statistical graphs, processed with Microsoft Excel 2019 and SPSS 26.0; analysis and interpretation will follow the theoretical framework.
