Ítem Acceso abierto Depression and quality of life in hemodialysis patients at the Plusvida Servicios Médicos SAC Clinic, Lima 2023(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2023-12-03) Barrientos Ortiz, Juana; Benavente Sanchez, Yennys KatiuscaObjective: "To determine how depression is related to quality of life in hemodialyzed patients at Clínica Plusvida Servicios Médicos SAC, Lima-2023". Population: It will be composed of 90 patients attending their hemodialysis session at Clínica Plusvida. Sample: We will work with the entire population since it is small according to inclusion and exclusion criteria. Regarding the methodology the study will be applied, hypothetical - deductive, quantitative approach, nonexperimental, cross-sectional and correlational scope. Instruments: We will evaluate the variable: "Depression", using the Beck Depression Inventory in its second version (BDI-II) published in 1996 and applied with 2 dimensions in Peru by Huarancca, with a reliability of 0. 84 according to Cronbach's Alpha and for the variable: "Quality of life", we will use the World Health Organization's Quality of Life Questionnaire - brief version (WHOQOL-BREF) elaborated in 1998 and validated in Peru by LLallahui, reliable through McDonald's Omega coefficient with a value for total quality of life of 0.846. The survey will function as a method of data collection. Since the study focuses on the correlation between two qualitative variables, a non-parametric inferential analysis will be performed using the SPSS statistical tool to process and evaluate the data. First, the data will be downloaded, categorized, and structured in an Excel spreadsheet. To evaluate the hypothesis, Spearman's correlation test was employed.Ítem Acceso abierto Relationship between cardiovascular risk and physical activity level in drivers aged 40 to 65 from a public transportation company in East Lima, 2019(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2019-06-27) Barrientos Ortiz, Juana; Matta Solis, Eduardo PercyMaterials and method: Study with a quantitative approach and descriptive cross-sectional and correlational methodological design. 103 transporters without already diagnosed cardiovascular disease were surveyed. The instrument for cardiovascular risk was the PAHO/WHO Cardiovascular Risk Calculator and to evaluate physical activity was the International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ) in its short version that includes 7 items. The data were analyzed by SPSS 25 version, using the Chi X2 correlation test. Results: 89.3% men, with an average age of 50 years, 50% with high cholesterol, 39% with high systolic pressure, 35% smokers and 16.5% with a history of diabetes. The cardiovascular risk was low in 62.14%, moderate risk in 31.07% and high in 5.83%. The level of physical activity was low at 71.84%; the moderate risk was 42% in the group with low physical activity. The value of the Chi X2 correlation test for physical activity and cardiovascular risk resulted in p=0.007 Conclusions: There is a relationship between level of physical activity and cardiovascular risk.Ítem Acceso abierto Workload and anxiety in the nursing staff of the emergency area of Daniel Alcides Carrión Hospital, Callao - 2022(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2022-07-24) Barrientos Ortiz, Juana; Pretell Aguliar, Rosa MaríaPopulation: 80 nursing staff members from the emergency area of the Daniel Alcides Carrión Hospital. Sample: The 80 nursing staff members according to inclusion and exclusion criteria, by non-probabilistic convenience sampling. Methodological design: The type of research will be applied. The method will be hypothetical - deductive, observational, descriptive and cross-sectional. The design to be used will be correlational. Instruments: To evaluate the variable: "Workload", the questionnaire prepared by the Spanish Institute for Safety and Hygiene at Work modified by Nieto in 2018 will be applied, reliable through Cronbach's Alpha with 0.885 and for the variable: "Anxiety", the Zung Anxiety Self-Assessment Scale will be applied adapted by Villanueva in 2017, reliable through Cronbach's Alpha 0.70. The data collection technique will be the survey. Data processing and analysis: The data obtained will be downloaded to a database and then managed in the SPSS statistical program. The software will show the type of relationship that exists between the variables, tabulating tables and figures with a high degree of statistical adjustment. The Kolmogorov - Smirnov test will be used to determine the strength of the relationship between the variables.
