Dentro del entorno de Geriatría y Gerontología existen una multiplicidad de problemáticas, debido a la vulnerabilidad de este grupo etario y el escaso apoyo que reciben por parte de su familia, especialmente aquellos que viven en la institución de reposo en la que se efectuará la investigación. En este contexto, el autocuidado es un aspecto que aún muestra deficiencias, situación que es preocupante ya que podría perjudicar la calidad de vida y la autoestima de la persona, haciendo necesario profundizar en esta realidad. OBJETIVO: determinar cuál es la relación entre autocuidado del adulto mayor y calidad de vida en una casa de reposo de Lima, 2024. MATERIALES Y MÉTODOS: se ha considerado seguir el método hipotético deductivo, enfoque cuantitativo, diseño transversal y no experimental; nivel descriptivo y correlacional, de tipo aplicada. Participarán 80 adultos mayores. La técnica que se empleará es la encuesta y se aplicarán como instrumentos la Escala de Valoración de Agencia de Autocuidado y el Cuestionario Whoqol-Bref. Para el procesamiento de datos, primero se realizará la prueba de normalidad de Kolmogorov Smirnov, con la cual se podrá definir si se utiliza el Rho de Spearman o la prueba de Pearson.

Competencia digital y desempeño laboral de los docentes de un programa académico en una universidad de Lima, 2023

Objective: Determine the relationship between digital competence and job performance in teachers of an academic program at a university in Lima, 2023. Methodology: The study was hypothetical deductive, quantitative, basic and correlational. The sample was 102 teachers. To measure the digital skills variable, a questionnaire with 21 items was used and to measure the job performance variable, a questionnaire with 25 items was used; In both cases, the validation and reliability processes were carried out, obtaining a Cronbach's Alpha coefficient of 0.877 for instrument 1 and 0.816 for instrument 2. Results: a rho = 0.822 was found, which indicates a high and positive relationship; thus also a significance value (sig. = 0.003) lower than the value corresponding to the theoretical significance (α = 0.05). Conclusion: there is a high and significant relationship between the variables of digital skills and job performance.

Factores asociados a la deserción estudiantil en la Universidad Norbert Wiener, periodo 2018

The research presented here under the title of “Factors associated with student dropout at Norbert Wiener University, 2018 period”, had two general objectives. For the qualitative approach, it focused on understanding how the directors and students of Norbert Wiener Private University perceive the factors associated with student dropout, during the 2018 period, while the quantitative objective sought to describe what the individual, academic, institutional and institutional factors are Socio-economic factors that generate student dropout at Norbert Wiener University during the 2018 period. Along these lines, the work was prepared under the parameters of a mixed investigation. The case study with intrinsic design and holistic unity was used for the qualitative approach. Regarding the quantitative approach, the study was ex post-facto, with descriptive design. The sample consisted of 14 executives from Norbert Wiener University and the information provided by 875 drop-out students was accessible. The results obtained allowed us to conclude that the factors associated with student dropout at Norbert Wiener Private University are academic, socioeconomic and individual. With respect to the stages in which attrition occurs, they are located in the I, II, III and IV study cycle. It was found that there are no formal retention plans but there are some actions carried out such as personalized tutorials, academic support, loyalty activities and follow-up plans for students.

Los factores socioeconómicos, académicos e individuales y su relación con la deserción estudiantil en una universidad privada de Lima – periodo 2019

The objective of this research was to determine to what extent socioeconomic, academic and individual factors are related to student dropout at a private university in Lima during the period 2019. The study was developed within the parameters of the quantitative approach. Basic research was used, since from the theory the behavior of the study variables and the existing relationships has been evidenced. The method was the hypothetical deductive, understood as those procedures that arise from the hypotheses to refute or falsify them, drawing conclusions that must be confronted with the facts. The design was non-experimental and descriptive-correlational level, since it describes how the variables are manifested. The population was 903 dropout students and the sample of 145 students from the various schools and faculties of the Norbert Wiener Private University. The instrument was the questionnaire. It was concluded that there is a relationship coefficient of r = 0.799 between the variables socioeconomic, academic and individual factors and student dropout and a significance of p = 0.000, consequently, the null hypothesis was rejected and the alternative hypothesis was accepted.
