Ítem Acceso abierto Spirituality and depression in people post Covid_19 in Metropolitan Lima(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-04-30) Bautista Cigüeñas, Flor Lila; Valenzuela Moreno, Erick JesúsThe Covid-19 pandemic has generated a variety of problems, especially social and psychological ones, with depression being one of the main issues. However, for many people, it has been an opportune time to cling more to the God they believe in or to cultivate their sense of transcendence. This research aimed to determine the relationship between spirituality and depression in post-Covid-19 individuals in Metropolitan Lima. The Spiritual Transcendence Scale by Ralph Piedmont (1999) and the Zung Depression Scale were used. The research followed a hypothetical-deductive method with a basic quantitative approach and non-experimental, cross-sectional design, and involved 114 participants. The data were processed using SPSS 26 and Pearson’s correlation coefficient. An inverse and significant relationship was found between spirituality and depression; however, a null correlation was found between spirituality and the affective, physiological, and psychomotor dimensions of depression, while a very significant inverse relationship was found between spirituality and the psychological dimension of depression.
