Ítem Acceso abierto Degree of depression in adolescent pregnant women and its relation to neonatal outcomes at María Auxiliadora Hospital, January – July 2018(Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, 2024-01-08) Baylón Leithert, José Daniel; Orderique Torres, Luis FernandoAnalytical cross-sectional cohort study conducted on a population of 50 pregnant adolescents from 37 weeks onwards, aged between 10 and 19 years. The Zung test was applied along with maternal socio-demographic characteristics and newborn data. 60% of the study participants were 17 years old. Regarding the presence of depression, the results showed that 86% of patients had no depression, while 14% had mild to moderate depression, out of four possible outcomes: depression within normal limits, mild to moderate depression, moderate to severe depression, and severe depression. Among the neonates, 74% had a good birth weight, and in the tests performed (APGAR TEST, SILVERMAN TEST, and CAPURRO TEST), a significant score was evidenced in two out of three tests and intervening factors.
