    Effectiveness of heated gases in patients with artificial airways to maintain adequate temperature and humidity

    Method: A systematic review of the 10 selected scientific articles on the effectiveness of heated gases in patients with artificial airways to maintain appropriate temperature and humidity was conducted. These articles were found in the following databases: PubMed, Scielo, Cochrane, LILACS, and Medline. All articles were evaluated using the GRADE scale to determine their quality and strength of evidence. Results: Of the 10 articles studied, 33.3% (3/10) were systematic review designs, 20% (2/10) were experimental trials, 10% (1/10) were cohort studies, 33.3% (3/10) were experimental studies, and 10% (1/10) were case-control studies. Conclusions: Of the 10 articles evaluated (10/10), 100% demonstrate the effectiveness of using heated gases in patients with artificial airways.
